Edit: One new entry...but with the way things are now, holding the contest with only three entries isn't enough. So here's what I'm going to do:

I'm going to extend the contest. If we can get at least 3 more entries, I'll feel a lot more comfortable about handing out these prizes, otherwise I don't see the point. The Print version of Destined will be released July 4th, but I'll extend it until the 14th. That way, I can send the books out right away. I had wanted to have at least 10 entries, but we can't always get what we want. 6 should be enough to determine a 1st and 2nd place.

June 25th marks the release date of my debut Fantasy/Romance novel, Destined. I cannot even express how excited I am about this. To commerate this special occasion, I've decided to host a contest. This one is much more specific than the last one I had tried to throw, and the timeline is shorter.

Destined is book one of The Arcanus Series. The story initially started out as sort of a side piece for the main novel, Arcanus and eventually evolved into its own novel. I eventually decided to make Destined the first, since it takes place a good almost two hundred years prior to the events of Arcanus and gives you subtle clues and hints towards the main novel of the series.

Before you read any further: The Arcanus Series boasts a varied number of interracial/interspecies/sexual relationships. All novels may be considered for Mature audiances. Destined is a romance/fantasy story between two men, including graphic sex, attempted rape, and issues of fidelity. If this bothers you, please turn back now.

Summary: Raised together, Sarnaiel and Naliel are as close as brothers could be, until the dark elf Sarnaiel decides he wants them to be something more. Only after he reveals his intentions does he learn of an arranged marriage that stands between them and their happiness. Unable to stand the idea of the one he loves with another, he vanishes, leaving Naliel alone...or so he thought.

But someone has been watching the young half elf from the shadows, and without Sarnaiel's presence he makes his move in the most brutal of ways. Naliel survives, but his mind and body are broken. Sarnaiel returns to pick up the pieces, mending and nurturing and rebuilding their bond, but once again their relationship is thwarted by the birth of Naliel's bride.

Once the source of his greatest joy, Sarnaiel becomes Naliel's torment. For Sarnaiel, when hurt, strikes back twice as hard and viciously. It doesn’t matter who it is. He almost goes too far and through that, finally learns what should be truly important to him. The oath they make that day is what seals their already unbreakable bond, and the two grow older, and wiser, together. For no matter what happens, no matter what they face, even if it's their own kin, they live by their promise:

"It was us from the beginning, and it'll be us until the end."

* Naliel Liunos - Half elf/human (Archer)
     - Mother is Rhiannon, father is Lavern
     - Lover is Sarnaiel
     - Oria is his daughter
     - Briae is his adopted daughter
     - His Attunement is Earth
     - Weapon of choice is the bow, although he also carries a sword
     - He is 5'10, medium build

* Sarnaiel Liunos - Dark elf (Rogue)
     - Sarnaiel was adopted by Lavern and grows up as sort of a best friend/brother figure to Naliel
     - Lover is Naliel
     - His Attunement is Shadow.
     - Weapon of choice are two long daggers. He also is proficient with poisons.
     - He is 6', medium build
